This page is designed to get you up and running with mIRC as quickly as possible, so that you may share images with us in the channel. Included in this document are basic IRC commands, mIRC setup instructions and mIRC resources and where they can be located... Step one, before you read any farther is to go get mIRC...

Download mIRC

OK, so you've downloaded mIRC, and you even installed it... Now what?

Well the first hurdle that you will surely run across is that there is no book, instruction manual, reference guide, or any of that written for mIRC. There is a decent help file, but it's rather limited in getting a new user up to speed and it can be difficult to reference while you're on IRC. This document is lengthy, and in no way complete but it will give you some starting points.

Note: this was written at the time that mIRC 6.01 was the most recent version available. mIRC comes pre-configured, but many of the default settings need to be tweaked. The format of this document is to give you a screen shot, followed by our recommendations for any relevant options. For anything that we do not make a note of, it is best to just leave it as is.
